Spurs legends attend DSA Christmas party

Tottenham Hotspur legends Ossie Ardiles and Ledley King joined the club’s Disabled Supporters Association (DSA) members for their Christmas Party, held at White Hart Lane on Tuesday 15th December.

The pair took part in a Q & A session before posing for photos with fans in front of the the FA Cup and Football League Cup trophies.

The event rounded off the club’s celebration of UK Disability History Month in conjunction with Kick It Out, which has seen Spurs celebrating equality and inclusion for disabled people with a series of activities.

Prior to kick-off of Tottenham’s recent home fixture against Newcastle, Laurence Cornwall the Chairman and founding member of the DSA was recognised as a ‘Hotspur Hero’ for his work representing the club’s disabled fans, presented to him by another spurs legend Gary Mabbutt (pictured below).

At half-time in the same game, lifelong Spurs fan Barnaby Lister who has Celebral Palsy was pitchside to talk about his passion for football, his ambitions to become a football coach and how disability is not a barrier to him enjoying the sport he loves. Barnaby had also visited the Spurs training centre earlier in the week to meet Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.
