Sheila Quinn

Match: York City

Published: 7/9/2017

I emailed and phoned Steven at Spennymoor prior to the match to arrange for a parking space and wheelchair access.   He was very helpful and explained that not all areas were accessible for wheelchairs.

There were 3 wheelchair bound supporters from York,  and was told there was better access opposite the main stand.

We opted to go to the side of the main stand where we had a better view, but there was no access to .refreshment bar or toilets at that side. There was just room for 3 wheelchairs there but we had a good view.

The club shop was closed as it was just ran by one person  who wasn’t at the match, but we could get a badge etc from a pub, over a mile away, we didn’t bother.   Programs were sold outside the ground.

There was no segregation, and no seats for the carers, but all the stewards were very helpful.
