Since 2009 Mark Bradley (from theThe Fan Experience Company) has been working with the EFL (Football League) using real supporter feedback as a catalyst to help improve clubs’ awareness of the needs of different supporter groups and to improve their experiences.
The feedback from disabled supporters, over several visit programmes, has been particularly powerful and we’ve seen many clubs improve levels of service, experience and engagement to disabled supporters while the EFL has supported clubs’ efforts to improve with two dedicated disabled fan experience seminars and a recent publication (Accessible Supporter Guide).
This work is continuing this season with round 20 more visits to undertake, so we’re looking for disabled fans, in every region of the country, to plan, travel to and attend matches (as home fans at clubs they’re new to) and to provide feedback on the experience.
In return for emailing back a completed feedback form, the Fan Experience Company will reimburse of all the visitor’s travel and match day expenses (up to ￡150). This covers travel, tickets (for up to 2 people), refreshments inside the stadium, a small purchase in the club shop, parking, a match day programme and any other reasonable cost incurred)
