2026 Level Playing Field Annual Fan Survey launched

The 2026 Level Playing Field Annual Fan Survey is now open, collecting insight on disabled fans’ experiences of attending live sport.

Over the past five years, results have detailed the most common barriers to attending and services which would improve disabled supporters’ matchdays, with the most recent survey receiving record responses.

The survey is open to all disabled fans across England, Wales & Scotland and can be completed via this link.

Overall results are shared publicly each year, as well as with the relevant clubs, venues and governing bodies. Clubs also receive individual reports, with a more detailed breakdown of their specific areas of improvement and weakness alongside wider trends.

Data collected also plays a direct role in informing Level Playing Field’s work, with results used to pinpoint areas which require further attention.

Responses collected across the first five years of surveys have provided Level Playing Field with an extensive and reliable dataset across a range of areas, meaning the charity has been able to refresh the survey with more targeted areas of focus. Key elements remain from previous editions however, to continue tracking ongoing trends.

Disabled fans who have taken part in previous surveys are encouraged to do the same this year, to help the charity monitor any areas of evolution or stagnation, as well as provide insight on new questions.

Level Playing Field chief executive, Owain Davies, said: “Results from our surveys are an essential resource, both to Level Playing Field staff and many of our partners.

“The data informs our work and strengthens our case when pushing for changes which will improve the experiences of disabled fans.

“This year, we have been particularly conscious to evolve the survey, to account for our findings from previous years and direct correspondences with disabled fans throughout the year. This is something which will continue to be reviewed with each edition, as we recognise the value of contributions from each of our respondents.

“We also know the value many clubs and governing bodies place on their individual results and how that has developed over the years.

“We are therefore extremely grateful to the disabled fans who continue to take part in our surveys to make this possible and encourage them to invite their fellow supporters to join them in doing so this year.”

The survey will be open for four weeks. If you would like any further information about the survey or assistance with taking part, please contact Level Playing Field.

The 2026 Level Playing Field Annual Fan Survey closes on Tuesday 13 October and can be filled in here. The 2025 results are available to view here.
