Dementia Friendly Wrexham

Wrexham FC have continued with its aim of becoming a Dementia Friendly Community by inviting the first team squad to a Dementia Friends information session at the Racecourse Ground.

Jo Lane from Alzheimer’s Society took the session and Dave Mainwaring, a football club volunteer and member of the support team, who hosts the monthly Football Reminiscence Group at the Racecourse, sat in on the session. Dave is now a Dementia Friends Champion and will soon be holding his own sessions on behalf of the football club. If you are interested in attending a Dementia Friends session, please email stuart.roberts@wst.org.uk to discuss your requirements and arrange a session at the Racecourse.
