Disabled fans’ European matchday survey launched

A survey on the European club matchday experiences of disabled supporters has been launched by Level Playing Field.

The charity aims to gather valuable insights from disabled football fans who either followed or would like to have followed their clubs from the British Isles on an away European club matchday outside their own country over the past five years (since the start of 2019).

The purpose of this survey is to gain valuable perspectives on various aspects of away matchdays in Europe, such as accessibility, stadium facilities, seating arrangements, governance and attitudes of other supporters.

There is a vital need for data on the experiences of disabled fans during away matches in Europe. Through this survey, Level Playing Field is bringing real-life matchday experiences to the fore, with the ambition to contribute towards a more inclusive matchday and highlight existing good practice.

Disabled supporters are invited to complete the survey via this link. The survey will close on Sunday 19 May, and the results will be released later this year.

Supporters can provide their answers anonymously and there are a maximum of 18 questions to answer.
The survey is entirely independent of any governing bodies (and clubs); however, all relevant governing bodies, clubs, disabled supporters’ associations, and other supporter groups will be provided with an advanced copy of the results. These results will then be made publicly available.
