Guide Dog Refused Entry to Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium

West Ham fan Paul Goodwin has been told by Southampton FC that he will be unable to take Molly his guide dog to the game between the 2 sides this coming Wednesday 11th February. Paul wished to travel to St Mary’s to watch the Premier League clash and says this is the first instance of Molly being refused entry to a football stadium, although Southampton have confirmed that the section for blind and partially sighted fans has been sold out.

A Southampton statement read, “We have offered help to ensure he can attend the match including a free enabler ticket, a disabled parking space, a radio for listening to commentary, staff to accompany him, and anything else he may need.”
