Leicester City open Changing Places facility

Leicester City may be Champions on the pitch, but the club have also been busy doing great work off it by installing a Changing Places toilet facility for their disabled fans.

Changing Places toilets are different to standard accessible toilets as they have extra features including a hoist and a height adjustable adult-sized changing bench and more space to meet the requirements of people who use them. It also offers a height adjustable and remote controlled sink and a fully accessible shower.

By installing a Changing Places toilet a club can transform the matchday experience for it’s disabled fans, and in many cases enable supporters who are otherwise unable to attend matches to do so.

Level Playing Field General Manager, Ruth Hopkins said, “In our Access Audit reports we always recommend the provision of a Changing Places facility. It makes a big difference for so many disabled people when a standard accessible toilet does not meet their requirements. Well done Leicester City”
