Level Playing Field (LPF) signs up to the ‘Disability Confident’ initiative

Level Playing Field (LPF) is proud to officially sign up to the ‘Disability Confident’ initiative.

The scheme run by the ‘Department for Works and Pensions’ looks to support employers in recruiting disabled people to further enhance their work force.

The DWP states that: “being ‘Disability Confident’ could help you discover someone your business just can’t do without”.

Tony Taylor, Chair of Level Playing Field said:

“As an organisation we benefit from being led by disabled people. We have a longstanding commitment and passion for being inclusive in everything we do, no more so than in our recruitment and employment practices. We actively promote an inclusivity agenda and is it right and proper that we demand the same standards from ourselves. We constantly drive the inclusivity agenda and we know how important this is within the sports industry as a whole. We look forward to more organisations joining this hugely important initiative“.

Taylor went on to say “We are in a period of significant growth as a charity and I am delighted to be able to validate LPF’s commitment to inclusive employment by signing up to the ‘Disability Confident’ initiative”.
