Level Playing Field has been made aware of a recent video circulating on social media involving a disabled Derby County supporter and a so-called Nottingham Forest supporter.

We at Level Playing Field were appalled by the video. This video highlighted the issue of disability abuse in sport, that can contribute to disabled sport fans not attending live events.

We have been in contact with Nottingham Forest Football Club, they have informed us that the matter is in now in the hands of the Police. The Club is assisting the Police with their investigation.

Owain Davies, Level playing Field Chief Executive: “This despicable act must be dealt with immediately and a precedent should be set, that actions such as this have no place in football. We must be vigilant towards this type of hate crime and if anyone experiences it, they should report it, so together we can stamp it out.”
