Wembley Stadium joins Unite For Access

Wembley Stadium has displayed its support for Level Playing Field’s ‘Unite For Access’ campaign.

Celebrations of access and inclusion for disabled sport fans are taking place
at stadia across the country.

The screens at the national stadium have been illuminated for the campaign
after a British Sign Language interpreter in ‘Unite For Access’ branding took
centre stage at home of English football, ahead the Carabao Cup Final on the
opening weekend.

Chair of Level Playing Field, Tony Taylor, said: “Having this support from the
team at Wembley, is hugely important.

“The national stadium proudly displaying a desire to Unite For Access, is a
powerful message and a visual representation of commitment to disabled
fans.

“We have been so pleased by the celebrations of access and inclusion which
have taken place at all levels over the past fortnight, and this serves as
inspiration as we head into the closing weekend of activity.”

Level Playing Field’s ‘Unite For Access’ campaign has more than 100 teams
taking part and will conclude on Sunday 10 March.

At the end of February, the campaign was launched with a film, which took a focused look at the experiences of fans with non-visible disabilities.
