Working Together: 2nd Welsh regional forum held at Wrexham AFC

On 15th March 2017, Wrexham AFC, Wrexham AFC Supporters Trust (ST) and Wrexham AFC Disabled Supporters Association (DSA) hosted the second Welsh Regional Forum at the Racecourse Ground.

The forum was organised by Level Playing Field (LPF) and Wrexham AFC Disabled Supporters Association with generous support from Wrexham AFC and Wrexham Supporters Trust. The objective of the forum is to provide a medium where individual DSAs and club representatives can network and share experiences and best practise. There were presentations from Level Playing field, Wrexham Disability FC, Wrexham DSA and Wrexham ST.

The Welsh Forum was established as part of LPF’s Working Together project and the third forum will take place at Swansea City in Spring 2018.

LPF Project Coordinator Kieran Reynolds said, “I would like to thank Wrexham AFC, Wrexham DSA and Wrexham ST for hosting the event. It was great to be back in Wales and see DSAs, clubs and other stakeholders network and share best practice with each other. We look forward to the 2018 Welsh forum in Swansea.”

LPF Development Officer Owain Davies said, “The forum demonstrated the power of coming together to enhance the experience for disabled football fans at stadiums. The passion and willingness to support each other will improve opportunities for more disabled fans to attend live football matches”
