Yeovil Town host 7th South West Disabled Fans Experience Forum

On Thursday 19th October, Yeovil Town and Yeovil DSA hosted the seventh South West Disabled Fans Experience Forum (SWDFEF).

SWDFEF was established by David Munn and Nick Saunders to provide a medium where individual DSAs and club representatives can network and share best practice.

LPF was pleased to be invited to attend and Development Officer, Owain Davies provided an update on LPF’s background and current activities. Working Together Project Coordinator, Kieran Reynolds then presented an update on the project and the work he is doing to establish new DSAs and regional forums.

Owain Davies said, “It was a fantastic opportunity to hear from fans, clubs and other organisations about the good practice and challenges that disabled fans face when accessing football stadia. Listening to how Yeovil Town FC and the DSA address accessibility for their (and away) disabled fans was very insightful and a pleasure to listen to all speakers.”

Kieran Reynolds said, “It was a pleasure to be invited to speak at SWDFEF again. It was pleasing to see DSAs, clubs and other stakeholders continue to network and share best practice with each other and I would like to congratulate Yeovil Town for hosting another wonderful event”.
