Crystal Palace DSA officially launches

The constitution of Crystal Palace DSA (CPDSA) was officially signed on 21st of April 2016 at an event held at Selhurst Park stadium.

CPDSA is the eleventh DSA to be established during LPF’s Working Together project. The DSA committee is working closely with Crystal Palace football club and is calling on disabled supporters, friends and family to join the association with the aim of improving access and inclusion for disabled supporters at Selhurst Park.

The event was well attended with representation from CP DSA, Crystal Palace football club, Crystal Palace foundation, Crystal Palace supporter’s children’s charity and LPF’s Kieran Reynolds and Nicky Baker.

LPF Project coordinator Kieran Reynolds said, “I would like to thank CPDSA for inviting us to the event and to thank Crystal Palace FC for the ongoing support. This is a positive step towards making Crystal Palace a more accessible and inclusive football club and I would like to congratulate CPDSA committee for all their hard work so far. This is great news for all disabled supporters at Crystal Palace”.

Dave Smith, Chairman of the DSA said, “Six months on from the launch of the DSA I am pleased with the results achieved to date.  This has very much been a team effort and also reflects the good working relationship we continue to establish with the club.

“We are now looking to actively grow our membership and, whilst continuing to address any issues raised, also hope to introduce a number of social functions in the not too distant future.”
