Training

We offer a few different CPD-accredited training packages that have been designed specifically for stadium staff. Whether it's stewards, Disability Access Officers, or other club staff, there are different training options to suit your requirements.

Disability Inclusion Training (2-3 hours)

Our Disability Inclusion Training is a general disability awareness session that is suitable for most club staff, to help them support disabled fans. The training provides an introduction to disability; looks at the meaning and importance of inclusion; highlights key considerations around disability etiquette; provides information about accessible services and facilities; and allows opportunity for those attending to ask questions and discuss situations relevant to their role.

Stewards Training (1-2 hours)

Our Stewards Training is a shorter session designed to upskill customer-facing staff at sports stadiums/venues, which often includes (but isn’t limited to) stewards. The training aims to provide attendees with a greater level of confidence when speaking to disabled fans and resolving any issues they may have. It highlights some of the key considerations around disability etiquette, and includes discussions around specific scenarios that customer-facing staff may face. This popular course was developed following extensive research and consultation with disabled supporters, clubs and stewards themselves.

Disability Access Officer Training (3-3.5 hours)

Our Disability Access Officer (DAO) Training is a bespoke and competitively priced training package which looks to upskill Disability Access/Liaison Officers or those with significant responsibility for disability access and inclusion at their club. The training can be delivered one-to-one or to a small group of up to 5 individuals, and is much more conversational, allowing space for detailed questions and discussions. The training focusses on making improvements to access at your club and engaging with disabled fans. It includes examples of best practice services and facilities; a look at the DAO role; potential areas of improvement and how to identify and communicate the need to change.
